It's the day! Welcome to my teaching practice!



1.1 Procedures of teaching

The day of my teaching practice arrived. I started my teaching practice on October 09-19, 2023. In this teaching, I had 2 classes, namely class VI Matapat at 08.40-09.40 am and class VI Maaasahan at 01.00-02.00 pm. As soon as I arrived in class, I immediately greeted my students with enthusiasm. Then I ask them to open their notebooks for spelling activities but before that, I will review yesterday's material first. After that, I continue my teaching activities by providing material through presentations in class, opening question sessions, and giving assignments to them to hone their competence on the material being studied. It is also not uncommon for me to give them homework that I will check the next day.

Usually, I also check the assignments together with the students. Giving them a little reward if they can answer the question correctly. My class runs well and is fun.

1.2 Time management and organizing activities

Regarding time management and organizing activities, I try to always follow the lesson plan although there are often some things that happen outside the lesson plan. All the teaching that I provide both from time and activities I try to match what is written in the lesson plan so that the teaching I provide is still well structured.

1.3 Classroom management

For classroom management, I prefer if my students are sitting neatly and I will walk around supervising them. In my opinion, by doing this way I can control the needs of all students without exception because if something happens then I can immediately help them.

1.4 Problem-solving while teaching and staying in the designated school

When I was teaching, I also had some small obstacles such as students who were noisy, did not want to sit in their places, and also asked questions that I did not know the answer to. However, I can solve the problem by being firm with them to stay calm and sit in their place. For questions that I may not know the answer to, I will try to find out first and then discuss it with the student. When I stayed in the designated school, I had no problems. Everything went well.

1.5 Overall impression of my teaching practice

I am very grateful to have a cooperating teacher and students who really support me to be a good teacher. They were very cooperative when I was a student teacher there. Although it was only less than 1 month, they have become part of my teaching journey and I am very grateful for this pleasant teaching journey.
